About

Based in Melbourne, Monica Barratt has been affiliated with the National Drug Research Institute since 2002 and with Curtin University since 1997. Monica's research focuses on the intersections between psychoactive drugs and digital media. Her PhD thesis ‘Beyond internet as tool: A mixed-methods study of online drug discussion’ was passed in March 2012. Her work is informed by sociology, psychology and critical public health.
